It’s more than a monthly event…

we’re a positive community of local artists and music lovers sharing performances and building community

Our monthly open mic is a free, all-ages, alcohol-free listening room experience in Naperville, Illinois.

We gather on the second Friday of each month for performances by local artists, and connection with a positive group of performers, creatives and community members.

If you are considering performing or attending this event for first time, join us at our next show and enjoy an evening of diverse performances and good company.

What kinds of performances happen here?

We’ve hosted a lot of different types of performances, high school rock bands, drum circles, jaw harpists, live electronic music sets, loop machine based performances, chanting groups, original singer songwriters, choirs, a cappella performers, rappers, people performing covers of covers, broadway musical numbers, a Kora instrumentalist, spoken word pieces, and even expressive ASL interpretations of popular songs. We love that mix.

And that’s not even the full list!

We love the variety. It keeps the room open, unexpected, and welcoming to different kinds of artists. Whatever you are interested in performing, we can probably make it work.

Come to listen, support a performer, and spend the evening in a room with good company. We welcome first-time attendees, regulars, families, and anyone looking for a more thoughtful local music experience.

Share your work

Open slots are first-come, first-served at the door. Each open slot is up to 8 minutes. Shorter sets are welcome.

What makes this room different from typical Open Mics?

We build our night around attentive listening and community connection.

Performers do not compete with bar noise, side conversations, or a room that is only half there.

When someone is on stage, we give them our attention. That changes the experience for performers and audience members alike.

As a community we aim to help first-timers feel more at ease and help regulars keep growing.
